Now I will tell you some common problems occur when people delay the use of the custom domain for their Blogspot blog. Here are some common problems when people don’t take this issue seriously.

1. The hard cold fact about migrating Blogspot to any other platform like WordPress involves loss of you Alexa rank and page rank. You might be thinking what is this real. Yes, I am not joking shifting your well-established blog on blogger to WordPress is SEO friendly as you might don’t lose you ranking but it is not friendly in terms of page ranks, page authority and Alexa rank so you might lose your ex-factor. 2. Migration from blogger to the custom domain is just like migrating from sub-domain to the parent domain. They both treated as different domains by Google. So when you shifted your blog to custom domain Google might take some time to index it as a new domain. But you will get all the link juice recovered after a 301 redirect to your custom domain.
    
3. You have to setup your Google webmaster and analytics account again to see your progress. Doesn’t use old analytics code setup a new analytic account.

I myself faced this problem with my websites as I travel from Blogspot to WordPress. Then from WordPress to custom domain but, at least, I lost my half visitors as I lost my brand name when I migrated from Blogspot to WordPress.
